Clearwater Beach Real Estate

Clearwater is well known across the US as Florida’s Best Beach Town. Powdery sands, miles of shoreline and a calendar packed with year-round events does have its appeal. We agree, the sunsets are magical but, what else makes Clearwater an amazing place to live?

Here is our list of the Top 5 Reasons Clearwater is an Amazing Place to Live.

  • The Weather

There’s a reason people flock here during winter; the weather is incredible. The annual average temperature is 73.65°F. Even during some of the hottest months of summer, we have a pleasant coastal breeze blowing in from the Gulf making the perfect picnic-in-the-park setting (the parks are stunning). The subtropical climate is known to generate some of the most incredible lightning shows too!

  • The Location

Clearwater is located in the northern portion of Pinellas County, just above St. Petersburg, about 23 miles west of Tampa. With quick access to US-19 and Gulf to Bay Blvd., everything is within a 10 minute drive. In fact locals often choose to walk or cycle between restaurants and shops. Clearwater Beach sits just West over the Clearwater Memorial Causeway, which stretches across the Bay – perfect for your morning (or evening) walk/run.

  • Activities & Events:

There is so much to do in Clearwater that you almost have to live here to experience all of it! Visit the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where you can see Winter the dolphin. Walk through the Sugar Sand Festival during spring, or Cooter’s Crabfest in the fall. There’s the Clearwater Sea-Blues Festival, Craft Beer & Music Festival, the Clearwater Community Sailing Center and, you might even catch a sighting of Hulk Hogan at Hogan’s Beach Shop. Choose from an endless list of watersports or, enjoy life on the dry land at one of the many restaurants(ooh, the seafood) or shopping centers. We can’t cover all the activities because we’re constantly discovering new things to do!

  • Nightlife:

After dinner, some locals head over to Clearwater Beach for Sunsets at Pier 60. It’s a daily festival (364 days!) that runs into the evening. The festival features live music, interactive entertainment, crafts and Sunset Cinema (Fri & Sat). Of course if you want to grab drink and relax, there’s Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest, Shepard’s Backyard Tiki Bar, and Wave Nightclub, just to name a few.

  • Tourism:

That’s right, the tourism actually makes Clearwater the magical place it is. The industry is a huge part of Clearwater’s economy – great news for hospitality workers. Most people only get to experience the lifestyle while on vacation, but locals regularly enjoy all the things people keep coming back for. It sure does make it easier to convince friends and family to visit. Getting them to leave… that’s another story!

So, if you’re looking for a mansion on the water or a low maintenance condo downtown, Clearwater has something to make any new resident feel like they’re on a permanent vacation.
